Fr Ryan discovered the fountain in an antiques shop on the quays in Dublin City Centre. Recalling the words of the famous 22nd Psalm "Near restful waters he leads me...", he long thought the tranquility of running water would make a nice addition to the grounds of the church.
Upon discovering it, he decided that it would be an appropriate feature in the space between the church and the Pastoral center. It has since proven a popular spot for couples to get their photos taken on their wedding days. During the Summer, it provides an almost Romanesque Piazza style atmosphere for diners of the Court Yard Cafe.
