Notice to all Parish Volunteers – October 2026: In compliance with Diocesan requirements all volunteers who are involved in any aspect of Parish life must attend a Child Protection Information Session once every three years. This is an essential part of being a volunteer and helps us to meet the requirements of the Annual Child Protection Audit. Further to previous communications those who have not attended one of these sessions in the last three years, or who now need to renew their attendance, must attend on one of the following dates. Please note that Crumlin is the nearest venue.
15th October –Sutton Parish Church 7pm - 8.30pm, 20th October Monkstown Parish – 7pm - 8.30pm, 29th October – Crumlin Parish – 7pm - 8.30pm,
11th November – Holy Redeemer, Bray – 7pm to 8.30pm

Mission Sunday: This Sunday October 18th is Mission Sunday, the day on which our Holy Father’s annual appeal for spiritual and financial support takes place so that the life-giving work of overseas mission and missionaries can continue. The theme for this year’s celebration of Mission Sunday is: “One in Christ, United in Mission”. The Mission Sunday collection will replace the 2nd collection at all Masses this weekend. The Annual Mass of Remembrance of parishioners who have died during the past year will be celebrated on Wednesday 18th November at 7.30pm. Relatives and friends of all whose funerals were celebrated in St Judes parish are invited to join in this parish celebration of prayerful remembrance. If, during the past year, you and your family celebrated a funeral of a loved one in another parish at home or abroad you are most welcome to join us for this celebration

Parish Partnership Last Thursday, there was a meeting of the five Pastoral Councils of the Parishes in our area (St Pius X, Kimmage Manor, Holy Spirit, Terenure and St Judes) to discuss ways of helping each other
 St Vincent de Paul Collection held after all Masses last weekend amounted to €1,480 for which we are enormously grateful. Thank you
Altar List of the Dead:
The 2026 November Altar List of the Dead Envelopes are available in the porches of the church. The souls of all who are named on the Parish Altar List of the Dead are remembered at all Masses in November and on the First Friday of each month throughout the year
The Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes Office wrote to Fr Pat asking him to pass on their thanks to the parishioners of St Judes for their generous contribution of €310 this year. This year they brought 118 sick pilgrims from all over the diocese to Lourdes.
May the gentle and healing prayers of Mary, Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Bernadette help all of us, as together we try to be pilgrims of hope

Month of the Rosary: On one afternoon each week during the month of October, we will have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with Benediction, during which we will recite the rosary – one afternoon for each of the mysteries – at 3.00pm to 4.00pm, in St Pius X Church. Wednesday 7th - The Glorious Mysteries (Our Lady of The Rosary) / Tuesday 13th - The Sorrowful Mysteries / Thursday 22nd - The Mysteries of Light (Feast of St John Paul II) / Monday 26th - The Joyful Mysteries
Thursdays in St. Jude the Apostle's: At 09:30 we pray the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary, especially for our priests. We say a Vocation prayer for young men and women that they might hear and answer the call to Priesthood and Religious Life. The Eucharist is then available. See leaflet at back of church

 Sincere thanks to all who continue to support Koins for Kids due to your continued donations this parish has donated in excess of €12,120.84 plus non euro coins and notes and is top of the list of parishes who contribute to this wonderful cause. No donation is too small so if you have any small change or foreign currency lying around drop them into parish office and we will pass on to Koins for Kids whose aim it is to raise 1 million euro to fund a paediatric MRI scanner for new Childrens hospital. So far amount raised has reached the milestone of €810,000. St Jude The Apostle's are the leading donor so keep up the good work and dig out all those old coins or small euro coins every little helps.

Standing Orders – increasing amounts – Some of you have increased the amount you were donating or started new standing order but we are struggling to identify where some of the amounts are coming in from as you have not put your name in correct field. If you have increased or started a new standing order since January you might send me an email with the new amount and your name so we can allocate the correct amounts. Request for copies of Baptism, Confirmation Certificates and Letters of Freedom from 1st June in order to comply with the new GDPR requlations we are required by law to ask the person for whom the certificate relates to to request copy themselves accompanied by photo id so the easiest way is to email request to stjudesparishwillington@gmail.com and attach photo id otherwise we will have to give them a request form for you to sign and bring it back with photo id if you are asking someone to pick up certificates they must have photo id of their own as well before we can hand out paperwork Return to Top |
